What CoreTime is

CoreTime is an internal presence-recording tool that supports working-time records. Based on your organisation's punches and settings, it generates reports that the employer may use as supporting material and that, once checked and completed, may form part of the records kept under employment law. CoreTime does not certify or guarantee legal compliance. The employer defines the time-recording procedure, configures the system, checks that the data is accurate and complete, corrects omissions, and remains responsible for retaining and presenting the records.

What data is processed

• Your account details: display name, username and optional email address.
• Your check-in and check-out records at the configured zones.
• Presence confirmations of the device you voluntarily enrolled, while at the workplace.
• Zone information from the mobile app, only if you granted the location permission.

What is not collected

• No content of your network traffic.
• No continuous location tracking, and nothing outside the workplace context.
• No history about devices that were not enrolled.

Where the data lives

All data stays on the CoreTime device installed at your company's premises. It is not sent to the vendor's cloud.

What reaches the vendor

The device checks for software updates, and if an administrator sends feedback, that feedback (title, message and app version) is delivered to the vendor's issue tracker. Presence data, names and reports never leave the device.

How long it is kept

Presence data is kept according to the retention policy configured by your administrator, then removed.

Your rights

You can see your own presence data in this app. For access, correction or deletion requests, contact your administrator — your employer is the data controller.

1. Acceptance of these terms

CoreTime (the device, its software, the web interface and the mobile app — together "the Service") is provided to your organisation. By accessing or using the Service you agree to these Terms of Use. If you use the Service on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these terms for it.

2. Licence to use

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the CoreTime software on the device it was delivered with, together with the mobile and web applications that connect to it, for your organisation's internal presence tracking. The software is licensed, not sold.

3. Restrictions

You may not copy, redistribute, sell, rent or sublicense the software; modify, decompile, disassemble or reverse engineer it except where the law expressly permits; bypass or tamper with its device licensing or security mechanisms; or use the Service in a way that violates applicable law.

4. Intellectual property

The CoreTime software, name, logo and content are and remain the property of the vendor. These terms do not transfer any intellectual-property rights to you. Open-source components included in the Service remain subject to their own licences (see "Open-source licenses"), and nothing in these terms limits your rights under those licences.

5. Your organisation's responsibilities

CoreTime processes presence data locally and provides technical features and reports that can support working-time records. Your organisation (the employer) decides whether and how to use those reports in its records and remains the data controller and the party responsible for complying with employment and data-protection law. The employer must inform employees, define its time-recording procedure, configure the system for its activity, check and complete the data, correct errors, and retain and present the records to authorities when required by law. CoreTime and its vendor do not certify legal compliance and do not replace the employer's checks or specialist legal advice.

6. Updates and changes

Software updates that improve or change the Service may be provided, and features may be modified or discontinued. An administrator decides when server updates are installed. These terms may also be updated; the current version is always available on this page, and continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms.

7. No warranty

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted or error-free operation. Presence data can be affected by network conditions, device settings and other factors outside the vendor's control.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the vendor is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, loss of profits or loss of data arising from the use of the Service, and total liability for any claim is limited to the amount your organisation paid for the Service in the 12 months before the claim. Decisions with legal or employment consequences must not be based solely on CoreTime reports. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
